Where to live in Bradford
Most student accommodation is very near to the University and College campus. Below are some of the areas where students rent houses.
Listerhills
This is an area to the north of the University behind Longside Halls of Residence including Legrams Lane, Great Russell Street and Fieldhead Street.
Shearbridge
Shearbridge covers the area to the west of the University past Shearbridge Green including St Margarets Road, Arncliffe Terrace and Clive Place.
Great Horton
Includes the area to the south of the University between Great Horton Road and Easby Road including Pemberton Drive, Ashgrove and Grantham Terrace.
Little Horton
This is to the South East of the University between Easby Road and Manchester Road – a large spread out area, includes Howard Street, Sawrey Place and Hampden Place. The School of Health Care Studies is in this area.
Areas near to the University of Bradford Management Centre
This is approximately two miles to the north of the main University campus and includes Manningham, Frizinghall and Shipley.
Rural Areas
Areas in rural locations are still within easy reach of the University and College by public transport. These areas include Saltaire, Baildon, Bingley Queensbury, Cleckheaton, Pudsey and Rawdon. Some owners will include gas and electricity in the rent so check this before you sign the contract. Properties in rural areas tend to be more expensive.
