Firewalls

Windows XP Users only

If you are using windows XP you will already have an Internet connection Firewall installed. To ensure this is activated please do the following:

Click on Start and select Control Panel, click Network Connections and right-click Local Area Connection. Click Properties, select the Advanced tab and ensure the Internet Connection Firewall box is checked.

If you have no firewall option it may be that you do not have the latest service pack installed, go to the Microsoft Windows update site to download the latest updates for XP.

None Windows XP Users

If you do not have a firewall installed on your computer, we recommend you use Zone Alarm. This is available free from the Zone Labs website.
