    The Accommodation

    Grayson Heights opened its doors to tenants for the first time September 2007. It is specially designed to accommodate a mix of students, couples families and groups of postgraduate students from the University of Leeds. The building is managed by Unipol Student Homes and tenants will either sign a University of Leeds licence (postgraduates shared) or an Assured Shorthold Tenancy with Unipol (couple/family flats).24 flats couples/families & 22 shared flats for postgraduates and an on-site reception open daily & residential Unipol wardens

    Family flats are fully furnished and comprise of a separate lounge and separate kitchen with 2 bedrooms

    Postgraduate flats are fully furnished and comprise of a separate lounge and separate kitchen with 5 lockable study bedrooms.

    All flats are allocated by University of Leeds Accommodation office and therefore are all Leeds University students.

    Location

    Distance from Leeds University Campus: 2.5 miles (4km)  

    The development is the same distance from the city centre and has stunning views over the Kirkstall Valley. Local facilities include Kirkstall Leisure Centre, and Morrisons supermarket and it is only a short walk up to Headingley town centre.

     Facilities

    The flats have been renovated to a high standard including the fitting of energy efficient heating systems, double glazed windows, well designed kitchens and modern bathrooms with showers.

     Utility Bills

    Family tenants pay Unipol monthly for the cost of electricity. Water is included and there is no gas in the building. Postgraduate flats have energy included in the rent

     Internet, TV and telephone

    Telephone sockets (subject to reconnection to the network at the tenants' expense) are fitted in each flat and television aerial socket are provided in the lounge. There is an integrated digital satellite reception system point in each flat .

     The internet service is included in the rent and is provided by Leeds University's Information Systems Service (ISS)

     Security

    Entry to the flats is via a spacious reception area with seating and a reception desk. There are two lifts in the building which take you to different floors of the building. The building is secured with access by swipe fob for tenants and entry phone for visitors. CCTV images of the entry points are delivered to tenant's own televisions. This means you can see who is calling before they are let in.

     Leeds University security dog section patrol the building on a regular basis.

     Transport

    There is a limited car park and a permit system operates at a cost per term. Tenants should apply directly to the University of Leeds Accommodation Office. There is a secure bike store on site which is accessible to all tenants.

     The building is located very close to two of the main bus routes in to the city along Burley Road & Kirkstall Road. Headingley train station is only 10 minute walk with trains on the Harrogate Line going to Leeds city centre or Harrogate/York the other way.
