Leeds Tabloid Information - House Hunting 2012

Introduction

In 2011 we produced and circulated over 100,000 copies of the Unipol tabloid across 4 editions. Many members of the Unipol Code took advantage of advertising their properties to over 40,000 students in Leeds. We are all operating in a surplus market in Leeds and this will continue for the foreseeable future, we therefore need to market our properties as effectively as possible.

At Unipol we want to maximise the marketing opportunities available to you in this challenging market by offering Unipol members additional advertising avenues to the website and the tabloid is an excellent way to reach more students in a medium they like. The tabloid has proved to be very popular with students.

Thank you and congratulations to all our registered landlords who have chosen to advertise in the next edition of the Housing tabloid due out in January 2012. We wish you every success with your advert.

The Spring 2012 Edition

The Spring edition of the tabloid will be available to students in the first week of March 2012, giving them plenty of time to house hunt before the Easter break. Details will be sent out to all our members in early Febraury 2012 however if you are not a current member please email us for more information.

Reaching Students

In the last accommodation survey conducted by Leeds University Union, the tabloid was found to be the best read and most useful housing publication.

The full colour publication will be distributed with the full co-operation of University of Leeds, Leeds Met, Leeds College of Art, Northern School of Contemporary Dance, Leeds College of Music, Leeds City College (Formerly Park Lane College), Leeds Trinity University College and their Students' Unions. The tabloid will be distributed to students in the halls of residence of the Universities, Colleges, Unipol, and private developments in Leeds, giving unprecedented access into areas that no other publication can reach. The publication is available in the Unipol Bureau, and other public spaces across all the institutions.

In addition to reaching students in halls, the publication will be distributed door to door to over 20,000 properties properties in LS6.

As well as advertising Code properties, the tabloid will heavily promote the Unipol Code more generally, and have useful information on househunting, living in the community and what to look for in a house.

How to advertise in the tabloid

If you wish to advertise in the tabloid you must be a member of Unipol and a member of the Unipol Code.

If you want to advertise in a tabloid you cannot afford to miss the Unipol tabloid. The best read and most useful publication as voted by the students.
