Reporting repairs

Most landlords want their tenants to report repairs themselves, not you as a third party. This is because they need to ask specific questions and quite often also ask your child to try a few basics before we send out a contractor. For example, they may ask your child to check a fuse box, to follow over the telephone instructions and they also require their permission to give a key to a contractor if they are unable to be in. Your child will also know specific information for example, which radiator needs attention or which bathroom has an issue. Please encourage your child to report repairs directly, they may also learn a few things such as how to clear a blocked sink!
