Runnymede Borough Accreditation Scheme

The Student Housing Bureau fully supports the Runnymede Borough Accreditation Scheme which goes beyond the basic legal requirements. It includes:

• The relationship between tenant and owner/agent
• Recovering of deposits
• Fire and electrical safety
• Security

If your landlord’s property has received accreditation under the scheme, you can make a complaint to Runnymede Borough Council if you feel that they have not met the requirements of the scheme. If you feel that your landlord is not complying with the accreditation scheme please raise this with them. If you do not get a satisfactory response you can make a complaint to one of the council’s Private Sector Housing Officers.
