Make sure Your Potential Landlord is a Unipol DASH Code Member

When you are looking at properties over the next few months do not forget to check to see if the property you are interested in is covered by the Unipol DASH Code.

The Unipol DASH Code covers a wide range of issues effecting a student tenancy from the tenancy agreement to health and safety to the fixtures, fittings and furnishings in the house.  The Code also covers repair guidelines and there is a complaints process.

Students are strongly advised by their University and Students Union to rent property from landlords who are members of the Unipol DASH Code.

For full details of what is in the Unipol DASH Code click here.

Supporters of the Unipol DASH Code

If you are looking at a property that is with an agent and cannot find the agent listed as a member of the Unipol DASH Code you should check the list of Supporters. Supporters of the Unipol Code are actively encouraging landlords with them to meet the standards in the Code and will display properties covered by the code separately.
Find out about the scheme by clicking here.

Large Developments

The Accreditation Network UK run the National Code of Standards for Larger Developments, which applies to developments with 15 or more bed spaces.  Full details of this code and information about the members is available here.
