House Hunting 2012 Continues at Record Pace

We are now six weeks in to house hunting (Saturday 14th January 2012 to 20th February 2012):

Cumulative searches since the start of house hunting are still showing a record breaking increase of 25% on 2011 with over 125,000 searches conducted.

In the first week of house hunting Google recorded visitors spending an average of 11 minutes 50 seconds on the site and viewing 12.77 pages.
12,050 bed spaces were available as the site went live at 12.01am on Saturday 14 January, 24% up on 2011
Students undertook 14,800 searches on the start date (Saturday 14 January 2012), 47% up on 2011
Larger properties were most popular early on, with smaller properties now showing greater activity
Headingley has seen a resurgence in popularity, particularly larger houses
