Unipol Training 2009-2010

This next year will see accommodation services pressed ever harder to deliver a quality product within tight budgets. Efficiency, revenue performance and high quality management will be at the forefront of student housing and our training.

As part of Unipol's commitment to working within existing resources, our training prices have been kept to last year's level and the Unipol Friends scheme now offers a 3 for 2 delegate price offer. Our new Discussion Board for 2009 will enable delegates to keep in contact and raise issues of common interests and the new Subscription Scheme will allow institutions access to all of Unipol's training papers presented during the year and delegates will be able to download training papers from an event.

Many student accommodation providers have raised their game over the years and there are a few poor providers - but this does not mean improvements cannot be made. Our training will seek out best practice that can feed creativity throughout the sector.

This year will also focus on the requirements of different user groups in different types of accommodation. 18 year old first year students have different needs from returning students; so have postgraduate and international students. Larger complexes require different management techniques compared to smaller buildings and off-street houses.

Unipol appreciated that there is no 'one size fits all' set of solutions or procedures within this diverse sector. We are all in a people business: and running a great service relies upon complex and expert personal judgements. Unipol training is designed to provide essential information to help build your team, increase confidence and improve motivation.
