Unipol pays the Living Wage

01/03/2016

Unipol Student Homes now pay the Living Wage of £8.25 an hour to part-time and student staff.

As of 1 February 2016, Unipol now pays the Living Wage (£8.25 an hour) to all temporary staff, which represents a welcome pay rise. We employ many student staff- such as our Residents Assistants who work on-site at developments like Mill Street throughout the academic year, or as Housing Management Assistants throughout the summer.

Luke Ferris, a recent graduate from Leeds College of Music and a Housing Management Assistant at Unipol, benefits from the change. He said:

‘It’s great to see Unipol supporting their younger workforce and student employees by introducing the Living Wage, as standard, across all departments. Unipol have always had the welfare of young adults as the crux of their business model. I’m elated!’
