Crime Prevention and Burglary Reduction

Owners can help to reduce burglaries by talking to their tenants about home security. Many burglaries are committed through windows being left open, properties being left insecure and valuables being on display through windows.

The Home Office provides helpful information on preventing crime in the home that you may wish to share with your tenants. Click here for further information. You may find the section specifically for students of interest.

Nottinghamshire Police also have a student crime section on their website. Click here for further information.
