Hilary acts for a number of universities and private landlords and is recognised as a leader in her field. She is regularly consulted by representative bodies in the HE sector and advises the largest of the tenancy deposit protection schemes.
An experienced trainer, who informs, stimulates and occasionally entertains.
John Martin
John Martin is a barrister and played a significant role in the Law Commission's review on tenure with Professor Martin Partington.
John has wide experience of litigation on disrepair, harassment and illegal eviction, housing rights and the right to education, including actions in further and higher education.
John is also Chair of the ANUK/Unipol Tribunal for the Codes of Practice for Larger Student Developments.
Philip Moxon
A qualified Environmental Health Officer with over 30 years experience as a housing professional with memberships of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, the Royal Society of Health, and the Chartered Institute of Housing.
He has worked for a number of local authorities and specialised in the enforcement of housing standards in the private rented sector with particular emphasis on houses in multiple occupation.
In 2001 Philip established his own consultancy specialising in risk assessment of residential accommodation with particular reference to the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) and has since completed risk assessments on student accommodation for a large number of Universities and Colleges.
Aside from this core team, Unipol has many guest speakers (academics, architects, surveyors, housing association personnel, vice chancellors, students' union officials and international speakers).
Many of these student housing professionals make their time and expertise available for free or for very low fees in order that others can learn from their experience and expertise.
