Details

The Tenant Fees Act comes into effect on 1st June 2019. The Act dramatically reduces the ability of those letting and managing accommodation to charge fees to tenants and restricts the level of deposits charged. Recent research shows that over 80% of both universities and private sector providers currently charge either a booking fee or an administrative fee and these changes will have far reaching implications for the sector.

This half day seminar will provide:
  • A detailed exploration of the implications of the Act
  • What this will mean in practice for both Universities and private providers of PBSA
  • The impact on deposit payments
  • The prohibition on taking large initial rent payments and what this might mean.
It is clear that that there will need to be significant change to some of the common existing practices in the student accommodation sector and this event will provide an opportunity to discuss this in detail and think through how your organisation needs to respond.

The seminar is led by two experts in this specialist field and places at this event at limited to 25 delegates to allow time for questions and discussion.

Cost per delegate
