In their 2019 report the British Housing Federation have recommended that all housing providers have some form of mental health training for their staff to enable appropriate support for tenants.

We recognise that for small housing providers and landlords this is an extra cost, however the benefits to tenants and landlords is indisputable.  Supporting poor mental health for tenants reduces inter tenant disputes, early leavers, rent disputes, damage to property, substance use and anti-social behaviours and also helps to keep staff safe, reduces landlords’ expenditure in the long term and is reputationally positive.

This two day course is an accredited course with a recognised, certified First Aid qualification. The course enables a deeper understanding of mental health and the factors that affect wellbeing; skills and knowledge to be able to identify signs and symptoms of poor mental health; confidence to support a person in crisis and how to refer them onto appropriate agencies. Highly recommended for larger landlords and housing providers.

This course is speficially targetted towards landlords as part of Unipol's Landlord Training programme.
