About us
We are a small family-run business and have specialised in the provision of a small number of exceptionally high quality student houses in Leeds for more than 35 years. We have been Unipol members for more than 20 years and are Unipol Gold Members. We have never had a complaint against us. We do not employ agents to manage the day-to-day running of our properties and so you can be sure that you would be dealing directly with us and that in the event of any maintenance issues occurring, there will be a prompt and friendly response.
Information for tenants
Most of our tenants are undergraduate students but we also cater for post-graduate students and young professionals. We place a strong emphasis on student housing and understand the needs of students many of whom are about to live in rented accommodation for the first time. If asked, we are very happy to discuss all aspects of student rental with both students and their parents to help to re-assure them at what may be a worrying or uncertain time.
The quality of our accommodation has been recognised by Unipol Student Homes who have awarded us their highest accolade - "Gold Owner" status. We are signatories of the Unipol code of standards and are Leeds City Council Accredited landlords. Many of our properties are Unipol accredited 5 star accommodation and yet we ensure that our rents are always set at a reasonable level. All of our tenants have their rents protected using the My Deposits government approved scheme.
In April 2012 and April 2013, Falham Properties were awarded the Leeds University Union “Most Responsive Landlord in Leeds” award, in 2014 we received the "Best Large Landlord in Leeds" award and in 2015 we were awarded "Best Post-Graduate Landlord" as a result of unsolicited testimonials from our tenants samples of which are set out below and also on our website . We also take our environmental responsibilities very seriously and keep all of our properties and gardens maintained to an exceptionally high standard. As a result, in 2006, 2009, 2011 and again in 2013, we were rewarded with the gold prize, outright winners and 2nd and 3rd prizes for the Unipol/Leeds City Council "Leeds in Bloom" gardening competition for the best kept and most attractive student house gardens.
