28/01/2026

The National Codes team has announced a series of internal promotions following continued growth in membership associated with the introduction of the Renters’ Rights Act.

Jess Carrier has been promoted to Membership and Engagement Manager, a newly created role focusing on managing new membership applications, strengthening engagement with members and students, and delivering training to support compliance with the Codes.

Simon Kemp has been promoted to Deputy Director – Standards (National Codes Administrator). In this role, Simon will support the Director of Standards while continuing and expanding on a number of responsibilities previously undertaken under the National Codes Administrator remit.

A further new role of Standards Manager has also been created to lead on the development, implementation and ongoing improvement of verification standards and processes. Matt Allison has been promoted into this position, reflecting his expertise and contribution within the team.

Commenting on the appointments, Victoria Tolmie-Loverseed, Standards Director, said:

“The growth we have seen following the introduction of the Renters’ Rights Act has provided an opportunity to invest further in our people and our processes. I am particularly pleased that these new roles have been filled through internal promotion, recognising the skills, commitment and experience already within the National Codes team. These changes will strengthen our ability to support members, maintain high standards and continue to develop the Codes as the sector evolves.”
