The new Nottingham Unipol Code cycle starts on 1st August 2026.
Unipol are now inviting all existing Code members to renew their accreditation for the 2026-2029 Nottingham Code cycle.
Membership of the Code provides significant benefits and cash savings to your business. Alongside these savings we want to make sure that you are supported and can access advice when you need it, remaining up-to-date with legislative changes as they happen. Unipol fully supports the student landlord community and remains committed to providing a voice for the sector and championing good practice.
For the new Code cycle Code Members will no longer have to become members of the hub on an annual basis, and all those additional benefits will now be merged with Code membership. Benefits of joining the Code include:
- Discounts on local authority housing licenses
- Free online training which meets licensing criteria
- Free training events to boost your skills
- Ability to advertise properties on the Unipol website for an additional fee
- Member briefings, so you can understand the market and network with other landlords
- Special briefings on proposed new legislation and have your say
- Free advice from our accreditation team and the benefit of inspections, where our experts give a view on your property
- Access to the Landlord Clinic and specialist help to resolve tenancy issues and use our mediation services
- Code Membership promotion via the Universities and the Nottingham Rental Standard
- A more “self-regulatory” approach from the local authority, with complaints first directed to Unipol for resolution
- Discounted deposit protection from TDS
- Access to the free online tenancy agreement generator
Joining the Code provides landlords with a package of support, market intelligence and networking opportunities that is unique in the student market and should not be missed.
Code Review
The Code document and membership package have been reviewed in full and relevant representatives have been given the opportunity to suggest updates and changes, with the aim of ensuring the Unipol Code remains compliant with changes to legislation, local authority standards and best practice.
Revisions for the next cycle have now been agreed, and the updated Nottingham Code 2026-2029 document has been published. View the new Code Document.

How do I renew my membership?
Renewing your membership is simple and can be done online via your dashboard account. Simply log in and select 'Pay for Code Accreditation', you will then be prompted to provide the necessary information and make payment.
Alternatively, you can complete and return a physical declaration form and property list and return them to Unipol (please note that applications cannot be completed without full payment and completion of both of the above forms). Payments can be made via the "Pay Unipol " link on the website or via cheque.
